July 2016 Updates
Kendall Down - Chairman of Prestatyn, Rhyl and District U3A
Has organised a U3A exclusive tour of Italy, which will look at major sites of historical
and archaeological interest.
The tour takes in the major historical sites of Italy,
starting with the cities of Magna Graecia in Sicily, going on to the Roman period
in Pompeii and Herculaneum, then the glories of Imperial Rome in the Eternal City
itself, and finally coming to the decline and fall of the Roman empire when the Goths
rule Italy from Ravenna.
A word of warning, however. It is always impossible to predict how the economy is
going to go and Brexit makes things even more unpredictable. If there are substantial
fuel rises or if the pound falls drastically, the price may rise; those who book
early will be protected against most of these contingencies.
