WELCOME/CROESO TO FLINTSHIRE U3A

Friendship and Fun through Lifelong Learning

What's New Calendar

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international self-help organisation for retired and semi-retired people, which provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in lifelong learning. The success of each U3A is that they draw on the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members.

Flintshire U3A is a vibrant association of groups, which meet to offer a wide variety of activities and interests.
These meetings also offer a chance to make new friends, share interests and develop new skills in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

July 2016 Updates

Kendall Down - Chairman of  Prestatyn, Rhyl and District U3A

Has organised a U3A exclusive tour of Italy, which will look at major sites of historical and archaeological interest.
The tour takes in the major historical sites of Italy, starting with the cities of Magna Graecia in Sicily, going on to the Roman period in Pompeii and Herculaneum, then the glories of Imperial Rome in the Eternal City itself, and finally coming to the decline and fall of the Roman empire when the Goths rule Italy from Ravenna.

A word of warning, however. It is always impossible to predict how the economy is going to go and Brexit makes things even more unpredictable. If there are substantial fuel rises or if the pound falls drastically, the price may rise; those who book early will be protected against most of these contingencies.
