The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international self-help organisation for retired and semi-retired people, which provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in lifelong learning. The success of each U3A is that they draw on the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members.

Flintshire U3A is a vibrant association of groups, which meet to offer a wide variety of activities and interests.
These meetings also offer a chance to make new friends, share interests and develop new skills in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

October 2016 Updates

* NHS Wales, Screening for Life
This may be of interest to members of FU3A.
This is a programme of medical screening run by NHS Wales for various conditions including diabetes, bowel conditions and aortic aneurysms.

Some of these may not normally be available at surgeries.

FU3A are in competition with two other local charities for funding for our 'Words, Music and Song' Group. If you are a Co-op member, please choose Flintshire U3A  every time you shop at the Mold and Leeswood stores until the end of March 2017.

A celebration of 1,000 U3As

To mark reaching the milestone of 1,000 U3As, a special event is being held on the 22nd  of November Eric Midwinter (founder of the U3A movement) and Baroness Frances d'Souza (Speaker of the House of Lords) will be addressing the hall.
