Flintshire U3A will be holding its
AGM on 7th
March 2012 at New Brighton Community
Centre. There will be a talk on
Thorntons Chocolates and a raffle, before the AGM.
Hilary's term of office comes to an end that day
and so nominations are required for both Chairman and 3 committee
vacancies. These nominations should be sent in writing to John
Hughes, Secretary, by 31st January 2012. Click

The Basic Welsh Group will be
holding its first meeting at the beginning of January 2012 at
the Pentan, Mold. The group welcomes any new members to come along.

Membership renewal can be paid any time
from 1st January 2012 to 31st March 2012. The cost is £10 for
renewal of the twelve month membership. If paid after that date the
fee will be £12 for the year's membership. Payment can be made in
person at the AGM on 7th March 2012 or direct to Mr Barry
Ashton, FU3A Membership Secretary, Wood Edge, St John's Park,
Rhydymwyn, Mold, Flintshire CH7 5HZ, enclosing a cheque and a
stamped addressed envelope.. |

NATIONAL TRUST AWARD |

The FU3A Members of the
Flora & Fauna Group have nominated JOE PHILLIPS for an OLIVIA HILL
NATIONAL TRUST Award, and the Panel of Judges will choose their
shortlist in February and then invite the public to vote for their
favourites to take place in March and April, with the winners
announced in June 2012. |

LATE WINTER WALK AROUND WILLASTON |
|
This is not a
new Group – it is open to all FU3A members.
I am leading 4
walks annually, commencing at 10.00 am on a Sunday morning, and
finishing around 1.00 pm for Sunday lunch – a light bite or
traditional roast – your choice.
There will be a
maximum of 18 walking, on a ‘first come’ basis.
The second walk,
the late winter one, will be between 4.0 and 5.0 miles (depending on
the weather) from Pollards Inn, Willaston CH64 2TU, on Sunday 11
March 2012
